3. Consume more fiber.

Fiber is essential to the proper digestion of food, and to ensure the process runs very smoothly. With enough fibre, your brain can get a constant supply of good nutrients coming to it. With a lack of fibre, your brain will be much slower than its supposed to be. With fibre, not only will you feel good inside, but your brain will dramatically benefit through increased clarity and focus ability.

4. Avoid fatty foods and those which have junk fats

This goes without saying but it's worth saying again. If you eat healthy foods, you will get healthy results. Eating junk is the sure-fire way to ruin your brain. So things like burgers, fries, pizzas, donuts and other "junk luxuries" need to go right out the window. You also need to consume lots of healthy foods to compensate for that.

Start the process of eating healthy, and do it in a slow, measured way. Don't go "all in" and try to change yourself completely in a day - it takes time and effort to change your mindset around, so take the time and reap the rewards for the long term.

5. Avoid all the artificial rubbish

There is a lot of evidence to suggest that things which have the word "artificial" next to them are highly detrimental to your brain. This is because rubbish foods like this are fake and not real nutrients that can help your brain. Here is a list of some really bad brain foods:

Artificial food colorings and flavorings
Artificial sweeteners like Aspartame and Acesulfame K
Colas, which have plenty of sugar in them
Any other high-sugar drinks
Hydrogenated fats
White bread, and any white-flour products.

All of these foods will work to reduce your mental function and have you feeling funny on the insid, so best to avoid them for the health of your brain.



6. Avoid sugar.

Any simple carbohydrates can give you "brain fog" and make you much more clumsy on the inside. So things which are high in processed carbohydrates, like sugars, white bread and potato chips before any important mental tasks should be avoided.

7. Consistently eat breakfast every day

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and should be consumed at all costs. Your brain has literally been fasting all night and needs quite a lot of energy and nutrition to put it back into gear. When you have breakfast every morning, you'll find your mental functioning being much better - you will have much greater mental clarity, focus and powers to do the things that allow for your success.

8. Consume smaller meals

Smaller meals gives your brain a constant supply of nutrients. If you consume too many things too soon, your brain will get totally overloaded and this will result in reduced mental function - and not increased mental function. Start by consuming smaller mals - but also eating more often (e.g every 3 hours). This will help your brain to feel excellent, giving you more clarity, mental power and drive to achieve the things you need.

9. Don't drink alcohol

Alcohol kills the brain - even in moderation. If you value your brain and want to do everything you can to maintain its health, you will need to remove all alcohol consumption completely. This may be difficult to bear for a while, but it can be done. Many people are able to stop drinking over night when they make a solid and decisive decision to improve their brain health for good.
