The greater your mental power is, the more opportunity and ability you have to succeed in the things you want to. We explore some of the things you can do to enhance the power of your brain even more.

1. Try mental training techniques

A good technique to begin with, is the P.T technique, also mentioned in our free e-mail newsletter. To practise this technique, what you must do is get yourself into a calm mental state to begin with. Then follow the steps below:

a) place a coin on a table, or edge of a table.

b) look at it from a distance of 25-35cm.

c) stair at the coin, and doggedly attempt to maintain your focus on it. If your mind wanders, bring it back onto focus as soon as possible.

d) Do this for 10-15 mins at a time.

This technique will help to increase your focus, concentration and attention span slowly over time. It is an excellent exercise.

2. Improve your diet

Diet is an easy way to boost mental performance. Your diet provides the building blocks for how your neuron cells operate, so it's essential that your diet is in good stead, if you are to get the IQ you truly want.

The brain consumes about 60g of glucose every hour, in order to maintain optimal function, so you need to ensure a constant supply of nutrients for the optimal performance of your brain as well.

Also, the higher the number of vitamins and minerals that you can supply to the brain, the better will be the chance to maintain tip top functioning all the time. 3. Take regular exercise

Regular cardio vascular and heart pumping exercise will have you feeling in great condition, and also dramatically help you stay mentally fit and clear. As you improve your exercise regime and do the things that make you feel great, you will make greater progress.

Exercise allows more oxygen to be transported to your brain through widening of the arteries, allowing for better mental function. Exercise also causes hormonal changes to occur in the glial and neuron cell compartments. These changes the way the neurotransmissions operate - they effectively become more optimal when done correctly.

4. Write out your goals every single day

Writing out the goals you want to achieve is an excellent way to program them deep into your mind. When you program your subconscious mind for success, you allow it to appear in your life a lot more easily. The subconscious mind is the foundation for all of your intellectual abilities, so learning to utilise the subconscious mind effectively will work tremendously well in helping to maximise your performance.
