Harmful Effects Of Certain Foods On The
Brain
Just
because a certain type of food exists, doesn't mean it is good
for you. There are plenty of foods out there which definitely
are not good for you since they are detrimental to
both body and brain. Below you will find some of the more
common food types which are bad:
1. Any kind of artificial colours, sweeteners,
additives, flavourings and
preservatives.
These are the worst
types of food you should be eating. They are basically random
chemicals which have the same taste as natural food stuffs,
and are therefore added into food. They are regarded as safe
to add in food, because researchers only look at the short
term effects. The long term effects are much more dangerous.
The most common artificial substances which are detrimental to
health are artificial sweeteners like aspartame and acesulfame
K which have long term effects or artificial flavourings like
monosodium glutamate which has short term
implications.
2. Fatty
foods, including those which contain Omega 6 and trans fatty
acids.
This is a reference to burgers,
certain oils, fries, take away food etc. These foods will add
to the already Omega 6 rich brain. This means there will be an
imbalance in the brain, making mental change rigid and slow.
There is also the problem of trans fatty acids which clog up
the circulatory system, leading to direct implications on your
mental capacity. There is also the threat of heart
disease and stroke.
3.
Drugs and alcohol.
Alcohol is a poison
which kills brain cells. When you drink alcohol, you will find
that your focus in life becomes weak, and you will tend to get
bogged down in petty things. It is also the cause of
repetition, in which the same cycles in your life get repeated
over and over again. If this is happening to you, the reason
is because of alcohol. Drugs can also have serious
implications on your mental capacity, causing hallucinations
and hysteria.
What To Expect
When you remove these weeds from your life, you will
not only feel healthier, but your mind will become sharper and
easy to adapt to life's changing situations. This will help you
install new patterns in your life and save you from repeating
cycles over and over.
