Thinking Games
A thinking game is something that stimulates and uses your
mind to make it become more efficient. Below you will find a few
games that will boost your brainpower.
Visualisation
The best thing to visualise is your goals in life.
Visualise what you would be doing if you achieved your goal, what
kind of house you would live in, what kind of things you would hear,
see, touch, taste, smell. Do this as vividly and as deeply as you
can, for at least 30 minutes per week. This will help you gain
mental clarity, mental direction and improve your ability to look at
the finer details in things.
Chess
It goes
without saying that this will help you to get your brain in top top
condition. A game a day will get your spatial ability up to scratch.
Also, playing speed chess, suicide chess or doubles chess provides
variety and added stimulation.
Bingo
Now this might not seem a
great intelligence builder but believe me it is. The speed and
simplicity of bingo actually helps to maintain mental dexterity
better than chess does.
Crosswords
Getting your brain
cells ticking with crosswords will help you to remain cultured and
make good use of your memory.
Computer Games
I don't mean all
computer games here. I mean games that involve a lot of problem
solving and investigative work. For example, many RPG's with their
fast and furious natures will keep you on the mental edge.
